This cluster focuses on institutional change in education, welfare and health systems. It explores how (in) formal institutions are governed, transformed, created, and destroyed. Their members utilise both empirical data and conceptual analysis from diverse contexts to examine and evaluate the institutions that regulate concepts, physical entities, identities, and sectors within various socio-political frameworks. The research cluster provides a distinct gateway to resources and opportunities, fostering collaboration on research which charts the social, political, economic and environmental evolution of (in)formal institutions across the world by harnessing the strengths of regional and globally comparative perspectives.
