Professor Judith Pallot

I am Professor of the Human Geography of Russia, having first arrived in Oxford in 1979 from Leeds and UCL. My research in the last decade has been on continuity and change in the Russian penal system but I have also carried forward an earlier interest in rural society and the agrarian economy from pre-Revolutionary Russia to the present day.  I am currently president of the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies.
