As Senior HR and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Officer at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA), I lead the School’s HR function and drive initiatives that foster a fair, inclusive, and supportive workplace. I work closely with the Head of Administration and Finance, senior leadership, and divisional HR teams to deliver effective HR services, ensure compliance with University policies, and promote staff wellbeing and development. I am committed to creating a positive working culture where all colleagues feel valued and empowered to thrive.
Key areas of my role include:
Managing and developing the HR team to provide efficient and responsive HR support across OSGA.
Leading all academic recruitment processes and ensuring fair, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.
Advising managers and staff on employment policies, performance, wellbeing, and employee relations.
Coordinating the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Committee and implementing OSGA’s Athena SWAN Action Plan.
Analysing HR and EDI data to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic planning.
Promoting an inclusive culture through training, engagement initiatives, and awareness campaigns.
