Luena Abigail Pimenta Ricardo

Hello! My name is Luena Abigail, and I am a Brazilian-Angolan researcher. I obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), and hold an interdisciplinary Master of Arts in International Economics, Business, and Cultural Diplomacy from Furtwangen University (Germany). In my thesis, I investigated how associations of recyclable material waste pickers in Belo Horizonte dealt with the transformations caused by the coronavirus pandemic, with a focus on Solidarity Economy processes. I am excited to research how regional and global collaboration tools and procedures might be used and adapted in distinct contexts towards alleviating poverty.
