Jamie Edwards

I completed my BA in Economic History in 2017 at Uppsala University in Sweden before coming to Oxford, where I completed my MPhil in Russian and East European Studies in 2019. I am now a DPhil candidate in Area Studies (Russia and Eastern Europe) at Linacre College. My project explores the programmes that were created to support the social reintegration of downsized Russian officers following military reform, with the intent of examining the reintegration process through the lens of training and employment. My general research interests include social policy, the political economy of development and reform, and the relationship between military and society in Russia.
