Horn of Africa: Constitutionalism, ‘developmentalism’ and popular demands in Ethiopia: exploring the common denominator
Tuesday 24 April, 5:00pm to 6:30pm
African Studies Centre Seminar Room
Convener: Jason Mosley
Speaker: Henok Gabisa (Washington and Lee)
This seminar seeks to explain the competing and sometimes conflicting aspirations of the Ethiopian State, and its outcome as it has been displayed in the recent popular protests and demands. It further takes stock of the ongoing political experiences in the country with a goal to predict plausible and rational political paths the country needs in its democratic bids.
