I joined OSGA in 2022 on a full merit scholarship from the University of Oxford to read for the MPhil in Global and Area Studies at Merton College. I hold an MSt in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Oxford as well as a BA and an MA in Oriental Studies from St Petersburg University. At OSGA I am working under the supervision of Professor Yaacov Yadgar. My research examines Russian Jewish identity in contemporary Israeli society.
I embarked on my current studies after working for 15 years in the international energy industry. My job as Deputy Director, Regional Office for Asia Pacific at GAZPROM, one of world’s largest energy corporations led me to living and working in Beijing for more than a decade, as well as on multiple work assignments in East and Southeast Asia
