Hi all! My name is Bonnie and I’m from Toronto, Canada. My area of focus is on Chinese nationalism and its manifestations in foreign policy. In 2020 I graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in Peace, Conflict, and Justice Studies, focusing on contemporary China-Africa relations. I spent most summers of my undergrad travelling throughout China, Southeast Asia, and Africa, which piqued my interest the development and implementation of Chinese foreign policy in developing nations. I speak Cantonese, Mandarin and some French, and in my spare time I like to bake cookies and go on hikes.
