SIAS welcomes Professor Kyle Jaros

The School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies and the Contemporary China Studies Programme is delighted to welcome Professor Kyle Jaros who joins us from Harvard Kennedy School as the Associate Professor in the Political Economy of China. Professor Jaros specialises in Chinese politics and in the political economy of development and urban and regional governance. He is presently using quantitative and qualitative research methods to examine the factors behind uneven urban development in China and he has conducted extensive fieldwork in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces for a forthcoming monograph on this topic.
