OSGA’s Professor Kate Sullivan de Estrada provided expert testimony at the UK House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee inquiry on 'Global Britain and India' last Tuesday (27 November). The purpose of the inquiry is to ‘take stock of the UK’s relationship with India, and to examine the relationship as an important test case of the Global Britain strategy’. Offering advice on ways to improve the bilateral, Kate spoke on India’s complex status as a global power, the role of the Indian diaspora in the UK, and Indian and UK ambitions in the Indian Ocean.
