Paul Irwin Crookes presented evidence about the potential impact of Brexit on UK-China relations as a contributor to a policy-led interdisciplinary workshop hosted by the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. Participants included academics, legal professionals and senior government officials from a number of Whitehall departments.
The workshop facilitated collaborative thinking about a number of themes concerning the legal, economic and political implications of Brexit across a range of policy areas, including international trade and investment. Paul’s contribution focused on explaining how Britain’s relationship with China might evolve in a post-Brexit landscape, highlighting areas of potential opportunity and likely issues of ongoing tension.
