The School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies seeks applications from candidates for a fixed-term, part-time, research and administrative assistant, to work on the Rockefeller Brothers funded Forum on Health, Environment and Development (FORHEAD) for 16 months. The appointee will work as part of a larger interdisciplinary network that brings researchers together from across the medical, environmental and social sciences to understand and address the impacts of environmental degradation on human health, reporting to Dr Jennifer Holdaway, Senior Research Fellow at the School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies.
The research and administrative assistant will undertake literature searches and reviews, organizing references and following media reporting, as well as providing administrative support to the network.
You will have a first degree and working toward a doctorate in a relevant field; excellent knowledge of relevant research languages including Chinese and the ability to manage your own research and administrative activities.
The post is based at the School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies, Bevington Road, Oxford.
