Matthew McCartney's book launches (Oxford and London)

Professor Matthew McCartney's most recent book New Perspectives on Pakistan's Political Economy co-edited with Professor S. Akbar Zaidi (Columbia University) receives not one but two book launches this week, the first at Wolfson College in Oxford, and the second at the LSE in London.

The Oxford event takes place on Thursday 14 November 5:00pm-6:00pm in the Florey Room at Wolfson, and will be followed by the annual Sarfraz Pakistan Lecture, which this year is given by the double-oscar-winning documentary filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy from 6:00pm. Both events are free to attend and no pre-registration is required for either the book launch or the lecture.

The event at the LSE takes place on Friday 15 November 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Vera Anstey Room of the Old Building, Houghton St, London, WC2A 2AE. This event features not only the two editors but also Adnan Khan, Natalya Naqvi and Mukulika Banerjee (all of the LSE). The event is free to attend but places must be booked in advance using the eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/new-perspectives-on-pakistans-political-economy-tickets-73093070341.
