Former MPhil in Modern Japanese Studies and current DPhil History student, Warren Stanislaus receives the Rare Rising Stars award

Current DPhil History candidate and former MPhil in Modern Japanese Studies student, Warren Stanislaus (Pembroke College), was named 3rd in the 2019 Rare Rising Stars awards ceremony held at the Palace of Westminster.  


The awards showcase the extraordinary achievements of the top 10 black students in the UK. Warren was recognised for his academic excellence and his 10+ years engagement with Japan as both a student and professional. 

Warren commented, "My goal is to become an academic researcher and lecturer specialising in East Asian Studies. I want to inspire and equip the next generation of Japan scholars in the UK."
