Along with the Head of School, Erin has responsibility for providing strategic leadership in relation to policy, planning, development, growth and sustainability. Erin leads OSGA’s administration in implementing strategy, supporting teaching, research and policy engagement, and ensuring good governance and high-quality services for staff, students and visitors.
Leading a team of operational managers and professional staff, Erin has overall responsibility of all aspects of non-academic operations, including:
Human Resources
Budgets and financial control
Research grant applications, pre- and post-award grant management
Recruitment and retention
Health and safety, and Security
Academic administration
IT and communications
Building and events management
Erin joined Oxford School of Global and Area Studies in 2016 after 12 years in the Medical Sciences Division. Prior to joining the University of Oxford, Erin worked in the Vice-Chancellor's Office, and Finance Division at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
